Proof that just because the hotel is cheap it doesn't need to be seedy or dirty, very satisfied

The location was perfect, right in the city center, and I enjoyed dining at La cantina azteca nearby during my business trip.

The restaurant was nice which offers lunch and dinner here, I had tasty dishes. The hotel had a very central location and it was close to Santander Town Hall. The area was nice, a nice place for me...

Hotel Picos de.. Is a good budget hotel. It is clean, in a quiet location and reasonably comfortable. Unlike many more expensive hotels, it offers a free wifi internet connection. It offers excellent value for money.
There are minimal soft furnishings so the whole building is rather echoey, but it would be very demanding to say the least to expect more at this price!

The rooms are spacious, with a balcony, air conditioning, and a pleasant shower, and the staff are friendly.

The hotel was in the center of Santander. It took me ten minuites to walk to the bus station. It was the cheapest option, but it was clean and comfortable. Great value for the money.
It was as some reviews said hard to find. The adress says 3 Plaza Numancia. This is infact a bar/cafe. They told me in there it was infact on the opposite side of the square up an alyway. No one on reception spoke english.

Having stayed at the Picos many times now it is always great accomodation - staff are wonderful - recognise you - no passport requirements - no credit card required - just the key and off you go! Ok quite hard to find lst time but afterwards great. Attached cafe/restaurant has been closed for 4 months but now is open - very nice and good for breakfast! going again next week !! Very good value for money

Great time! This place was super clean and had all the stuff we needed. It had that cool old-fashioned vibe but still had everything we could ask for. ✨

The hotel is very close to the City Centre so it's easy to walk downtown and explore the shops and cafes nearby. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the rooms were clean and serviced daily by the cleaning staff.
This hotel is definitely overrated based on Booked.net reviews in my opinion. It was very noisy both from the street outside (Shop shutters opening, noisy passersby). Also the walls are very thin so you can hear people in other rooms (eg having sex, coming back in the early hours). It's ok if you're deaf or a heavy sleeper, otherwise you'll need to pack some ear plugs unfortunately. It was very dissapointing and the restaurant was also closed during my stay. I'd like a refund if possible. If you must stay here make sure to get a room at the rear although there were building works ongoing when I was there as well.

A pleasant hotel, tucked away in an alley off Calle Vargas. Comfortable and clean with ensuite rooms and daily room service, it's in a good location next to Plaza Juan Carlos and close to the pedestrianised shopping street Burgos - about 10 minutes walk from the Bus and Rail Stations. Previous reviewers have praised the availability of breakfast and other meals at the hotel's nearby cafeteria but this is currently closed for refurbishment (May 2011) but other cafes are available nearby.

Friendly and helpful English-speaking receptionist, comfort and size of room.
My taxi driver found it easily but, on foot, it might be difficult to find.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
